Who are we?
Bobcat MUN is an organization dedicated to furthering students' professional development in interpersonal problem solving and skills in public speaking through the use of committee style-debate sessions and participation in intercollegiate MUN conferences. The club will provide the necessary resources, means, and training to compete in such conferences. Through Bobcat MUN, students will gain a deeper understanding of rhetorical analysis, public speaking, debate, and the role of international actors in the political arena. Students will also explore understanding of the context in which global issues transpire through the research and study of assigned countries’ histories, policies, and past involvement with other countries and entities. The organization provides a fun and friendly atmosphere, all while still providing students training opportunities to enhance their professional skills.
If you are at all interested, we would be happy to have you join us at our weekly meetings to learn more. We meet every Monday from 7:30-9:30 PM @COB 263. Everyone is welcome, there is no experience required! Contact us if you are interested in attending!
